Mr. Berman serves as CEO and the managing senior officer of EPN Investment Management, L.L.C., responsible for strategic decisions and overall management including personnel and transactions.
Mr. Berman started his career as a Certified Public Accountant and has over 25 years of management, investment, finance, and business development experience in the United States and internationally. From 1999 to March 2009, Mr. Berman was an executive with General Growth Properties, Inc., one of the most prominent U.S. mall developers, owners and operators, where he was a Corporate Officer. He most recently led GGP’s international expansion as Founder and Head of GGP International and previously held the position of GGP’s Senior Vice President of Capital Markets and Finance. Mr. Berman is widely credited with GGP’s investments in Brazil and Turkey.
Mr. Berman received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and his MBA from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. |

Mr. Cohen serves as the head of acquisitions and new business development for EPN Group. He is responsible for sourcing, analyzing and closing transactions and managing joint venture relationships.
Mr. Cohen has over 12 years of experience in real estate. He recently negotiated the sale of substantially all of EDT Retail Trust’s assets for $1.43 billion.
From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Cohen served as Vice President with Mesa Development, LLC, a Chicago-based real estate development and investment company. While with Mesa, he was actively involved in the development of mixed-use projects with a value in excess of $600 million. He led the company’s distressed asset acquisition platform from 2008 to 2010.
Mr. Cohen started his real estate career with Prudential Mortgage Capital Company. During his tenure with Prudential, he assisted in the origination of more than $850 million of first mortgage and mezzanine loans on institutional assets located throughout the United States.
Mr. Cohen received a Bachelors of Science and Arts from Washington University and his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. |

Mr. Angelino serves as the head of accounting and finance for EPN Group. He is responsible for treasury, accounting and investor reporting for EPN Group and its joint venture relationships.
Mr. Angelino is a CPA and has 15 years of experience. He was actively involved in EPN’s 2011 Tender Offer to acquire the remaining 52.18% of units of EDT Retail and coordinated the tax structuring for its ensuing sale in 2012.
Prior to EPN, he was the CFO for Connaught Real Estate Finance LLC. Connaught invested primarily in residential mezzanine and debt investments. Prior to Connaught, Mr. Angelino was Vice President and Controller at Capri Capital Partners where he managed the accounting and finance for a $3 billion portfolio which was comprised of office, retail, apartment and industrial properties. Prior to Capri, Mr. Angelino was a CPA working in the audit groups for Altschuer, Melvoin & Glasser (now McGladrey) and KPMG.

Mr. Rothbart is EDT’s Vice President of Capital Markets and focuses his efforts on EPN’s debt and equity needs and has over 12 years of real estate experience. Mr. Rothbart was the Vice President of Finance and Asset Management for EDT Retail whereby he was responsible for asset level finance, property valuations and quarterly financial reporting.
Prior to joining EDT, Mr. Rothbart was Managing Director at Superior Street Capital, LLC where he worked on the recapitalization of distressed Tenant In Common deals and the monetization of real estate related financial derivatives. Mr. Rothbart was also a co-founder and Principal at Boulder Net Lease Funds, LLC. During his tenure at Boulder Net Lease Funds, he raised over $250 million in equity and debt to acquire office and industrial assets on a nationwide basis. At Boulder, his responsibilities included fund formation, capital markets, acquisitions, asset management and dispositions.
Prior to forming Boulder Net Lease Funds, Mr. Rothbart practiced real estate and tax law at a Chicago-based law firm and worked in the legal department of Related Midwest, one of Chicago's largest multi-family developers. Mr. Rothbart is an Illinois licensed attorney, LEED-AP for New Construction and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Mr. Rothbart received his Bachelors of Arts degree from Emory University, his Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his Master of Law in Taxation degree from Northwestern University. |
